KANCHANABURI: Woman killed and son injured in car crash in Tha Maka district and man died by ramming his motorcycle into a roadside tree in another crash in Dan Makham Tia district of this western border province on Saturday.
In the first accident at around 12:21 p.m., a Nissan car skidded on a road along a Tambon Wai Neo irrigation canal in Tha Maka district. Witnesses told police they saw the car lose control and turn around before skidding onto the road, plunging into the canal.
When police and rescuers from the Miracle of Life Foundation arrived at the scene, villagers had removed a male child, about one and a half years old, from the submerged car, but his mother was still trapped there. inside.
Rescuers managed to get the seriously injured and unconscious woman out of the car and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on her before taking her to Makarak hospital. The woman, later identified as Sunee Thongchua, 35, died of her injuries at 7 p.m.
In the other accident, at around 6:10 p.m., a 45-year-old man died after crashing his motorbike into a roadside tree on the Dan Makham Tia-Kanchanaburi road near the village of Moo 6 in Dan district. Makham Tia.
